“Are you almost done?” Henry asked. “I’m getting dizzy.”

“Don’t get so wound up,” Finley said.

“Ha,” Henry mumbled. “Easy for you to say.”

“Just one more turn and… ta-daaaah!” Finley beamed. “My very first mummy! Move over, King Tut!”

Henry held his arms out in front of him. “Huh,” he said. “You’re a pretty good wrapper. Is this your first mummification?”

Finley nodded. “I must be a natural.” She handed Henry the toilet paper. “Now it’s your turn.”

Henry held it up. “Let’s rock and roll!”

As Finley spun in place, Henry copied her technique, wrapping her from head to toe.

“We’d better wrap it up,” Finley said, “or we’ll miss the party!”

“Done!” Henry said.

Finley grabbed the gym bag. “Let’s not tell anyone who we are,” she said as they slipped out of Evie’s classroom and closed the door behind them. “We’ll be mystery mummies!”

Henry put a finger to his lips. “Mum’s the word.”
